Wadlow Technical Surveys Ltd was incorporated officially as a separate formal limited company in June 1998, however this was, after the Principal Philip Wadlow had been practising in the construction industry since 1989 after first gaining a BSc(Hons) in Building Construction and Management. Subsequently qualifications in computer aided design and advanced surveying have been obtained.
Our philosophy is to treat all clients' requirements and premises with respect and produce quality work irrespective of quoted prices and anticipated duration of the work. We have many repeat clients with whom we have an excellent informal working relationship and will always endeavour to produce a quality finished product for a fair price. We welcome new enquiries, and will provide no obligation quotes for services required and give genuine technical advice to clients in discussing requirements.
Since the formation of the company, as with most other industries and professions, technology has evolved rapidly and this company actively tries to keep aware of the latest developments in instruments available and surveying technology and software.
In the surveying profession new developments quickly become standard and a benchmark in terms of speed and quality. In the last 15 years the traditional theodolite and long measuring tapes as used by surveyors are now extremely rare, being replaced by fully computerised distance and angular measurement. Data measured in the field is being saved digitally within hese instruments, very little manual recording is needed, everything is computer compatible. Laser measuring is now standard, and the Global Positioning Satellite system is being taken up increasingly as cost is decreasing. |
